''On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness'' (ISBN 978-1-4000-7384-9) is a fantasy novel published in 2008, written by Andrew Peterson. ''On The Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness'' is about three siblings, Janner, Tink and Leeli Igiby, their mother, Nia Igiby, their ex-pirate grandfather, Podo Helmer, and the Fangs of Dang, lizard-like conquerors of the Igiby family's country whose lives' purpose seems to be to make the Igiby family and every other human around miserable. Janner is the determined oldest brother, expected by his mom and Podo to protect the others. Tink is constantly hungry, and ready for mischief with his brother. Leeli is crippled, but can be surprisingly fast when she wants to be and kicks one of the feared Fangs of Dang to save her dog, Nugget. Nia is reluctant for most of the first book to tell what she used to do before she had children. The paperback book contains two maps, several illustrations, and appendices, all by Peterson.
